Panorama of Hohenwerfen Castle with the adjacent village of Werfen at sunset. The fortress is a medieval rock castle on top of a hill overlooking the entire Salzach valley. Hohenwerfen Castle is a medieval rock castle, situated on a 623-metre precipice overlooking the Austrian market town of Werfen in the Salzach valley, approximately 40 kilometres south of Salzburg. The fortress is surrounded by the Berchtesgaden Alps and the adjacent Tennen Mountains. One of the most famous fortress in Austria.
About Vaclav Sonnek
I come from a small village in the middle of the Beskydy Mountains in the Czech Republic. After 16 years of playing ice hockey at the highest level, at the age of 22 I was looking for an something different and another hobby. As I have always been attracted to the outdoors and making some memories, I bought a camera that grew on me. Thanks to the camera, I have explored new places and am trying to travel more around the world. My main goal is to show you the beauty of Europe.
