Artist's Description
Closeup of the Dachstein mountain range from the famous tourist place Krippenstein during an approaching storm. The Austrian Alps. Hoher Dachstein. ideal trip by cable car for the family. Dachstein is a strongly karstic Austrian mountain, and the second highest mountain in the Northern Limestone Alps. It is situated at the border of Upper Austria and Styria in central Austria, and is the highest point in each of those states. Parts of the massif also lie in the state of Salzburg, leading to the mountain being referred to as the three-state mountain. The Dachstein massif covers an area of around 20×30 km with dozens of peaks above 2,500 m, the highest of which are in the southern and south-western areas. Seen from the north, the Dachstein massif is dominated by the glaciers with the rocky summits rising beyond them. By contrast, to the south, the mountain drops almost vertically to the valley floor.
About Vaclav Sonnek

I come from a small village in the middle of the Beskydy Mountains in the Czech Republic. After 16 years of playing ice hockey at the highest level, at the age of 22 I was looking for an something different and another hobby. As I have always been attracted to the outdoors and making some memories, I bought a camera that grew on me. Thanks to the camera, I have explored new places and am trying to travel more around the world. My main goal is to show you the beauty of Europe. I want to thank everyone who promotes me and who press the button " I like it " or give it to " favorite pictures ". Many thanks to those who leave a comment. I also very much apologize to these people for not writing them off, but it is beyond my ability to write...
